With substantial growth opportunities across the Queensland market, they are now seeking an ambitious and relationship-driven Sales & Specification Account Manager to help drive the next phase of expansion.

About The Role

This is a highly autonomous territory management role focused on driving specification influence, defending projects and converting opportunities across the commercial construction sector throughout Queensland. You will work closely with architects, builders, contractors, developers and distribution partners to position innovative building solutions into major projects, while identifying opportunities early in the specification cycle and ensuring successful conversion through the supply chain.

The Queensland market presents enormous untapped potential, with strong existing distribution relationships and a significant pipeline of future opportunities. Success in this role will come from your ability to build trusted relationships, maintain project momentum and proactively influence stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

This role would suit a commercially astute and proactive sales professional who enjoys being in front of customers, influencing outcomes and taking ownership of their territory.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow relationships with architects, builders, contractors, developers and key distributors
  • Identify, influence and convert project specifications across the commercial construction sector
  • Defend and retain specifications throughout the builder and procurement stages
  • Drive demand generation activities including CPDs, project engagement and strategic networking
  • Maintain strong project pipeline management and forecasting discipline
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends and emerging project opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with internal technical, operations and commercial teams to support customer outcomes
  • Deliver solution-based sales conversations focused on value, sustainability and performance rather than price alone
  • Represent the business professionally across industry events, networking functions and customer engagements
To Be Considered For This Role, You Will Need To Demonstrate
  • Proven success within specification sales, technical sales or commercial building products
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement capability
  • Experience working with architects, builders, contractors and/or developers
  • A proactive and self-driven approach to territory management
  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
  • The ability to manage projects through long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
  • High levels of initiative, resilience and accountability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience within insulation, façades, roofing, construction materials, HVAC, interiors or related building product sectors will be highly regarded
