Our Client is a well-established Australian retail business undergoing a significant transformation across its supply chain and distribution operations. With continued investment in technology, automation, data, and leadership capability, the organisation is focused on building scalable processes, improving operational efficiency, and creating a safer, more engaged workplace culture.

Following a period of growth and organisational change, they are seeking an experienced warehouse leader to play a key role in driving operational performance and developing frontline leadership capability.

The Role of Senior Warehouse Supervisor will take operational ownership of a high-volume distribution environment, leading a team of Supervisors and warehouse personnel. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and productive execution of daily operations while supporting broader transformation initiatives.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role requiring strong floor presence, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a genuine commitment to developing people.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and coaching a team of Supervisors and warehouse staff
  • Managing labour allocation, rostering, and daily operational performance
  • Driving safety standards, compliance, and workplace engagement
  • Improving inventory accuracy, stock control, and housekeeping standards
  • Reducing operational inefficiencies, damages, and stock write-offs
  • Supporting process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Monitoring and reporting on key operational KPIs
  • Building capability across frontline leadership teams through coaching and development
We're looking for:
  • Experience leading teams within a warehouse, distribution, logistics, retail, FMCG, or high-volume operational environment
  • Strong people leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to coach and develop supervisors
  • A hands-on leadership style and willingness to spend time on the floor driving outcomes
  • Experience managing labour, performance, productivity, and operational KPIs
  • Strong systems capability, including exposure to WMS and workforce planning tools
  • The ability to analyse operational data and identify improvement opportunities
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on accountability, continuous improvement, and team engagement
Exposure to automation projects or highly automated environments will be advantageous but is not essential.
