About the Role

Reporting to the CEO and Board, the General Manager will lead a large and diverse operational workforce while driving strategic, commercial and cultural outcomes across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the execution of strategic priorities while identifying opportunities for growth, innovation and continuous improvement
• Developing a high-performing leadership team and fostering a culture centred on safety, accountability and employee engagement
• Driving operational performance across a complex, multi-site service delivery environment
• Leading workforce planning, industrial relations, talent development and organisational capability initiatives
• Ensuring excellence in safety, governance, risk management and regulatory compliance
• Overseeing significant asset, infrastructure and capital investment programs that support long-term business objectives
• Managing relationships across a diverse range of stakeholder and partners, and delivering sustainable commercial outcomes through financial management and operational efficiency

Skills & Experience

This opportunity will suit an accomplished executive who combines strong operational leadership with a genuine commitment to people, culture and community impact. The successful candidate will bring:

• Proven experience leading large, operationally intensive organisations through periods of growth, change or transformation, along with developing high-performing teams
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sustainable financial and operational performance, along with experience managing complex stakeholder environments
• Experience gained within transport, infrastructure, logistics, utilities, manufacturing, services or similarly complex operating environments will be of strong interest.
