This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified electrician who enjoys fault finding, breakdown response, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement within a fast-paced industrial environment. Working as part of a collaborative maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring plant reliability, supporting production operations and contributing to ongoing site improvement projects.

This position operates on a rotating Monday to Friday roster:
  • 2 weeks Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • 2 weeks Night Shift: 10:00pm – 6:00am
  • 2 weeks Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Additional overtime opportunities are available on weekends. 


The Opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Performing breakdown, corrective and preventative electrical maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults across electrical control systems, motors, drives and production equipment
  • Supporting plant reliability through effective troubleshooting and repair activities
  • Working with PLC-controlled equipment and automated production systems
  • Completing planned maintenance activities through the CMMS
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance
  • Assisting with commissioning, installation and modification projects
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Working closely with production, engineering and maintenance teams to achieve operational objectives
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures and regulatory requirements
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
  • A current A Grade Electrical Licence
  • Trade qualifications in Electrical Fitting, Electrical Mechanic or equivalent
  • Experience within manufacturing, processing, food, rendering, FMCG or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical equipment and control systems
  • Exposure to Allen Bradley PLCs, drives and SCADA systems
  • Experience reading ladder logic and electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of VSDs, motors, instrumentation and industrial automation systems
  • Strong commitment to safety and preventative maintenance practices
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
Highly regarded:
  • Allen Bradley PLC programming or maintenance experience
  • Instrumentation experience
  • SCADA exposure (Citect or similar)
  • Process networking knowledge
  • Forklift, EWP or Confined Space tickets
