About the opportunity:

This is a rare leadership role for a commercially sharp sales professional who knows the Perth residential building materials market and wants to make a real impact.
Based in Perth, this senior role has full ownership of growth and execution across WA and SA, with responsibility for strengthening key customer relationships, driving new business opportunities and leading a small, experienced team. You’ll work closely with builders, manufacturing partners and emerging market entrants to influence adoption of innovative products, smarter solutions and better ways of building.

Reporting to an interstate Sales Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in building a long-term regional strategy and helping shape the next phase of growth across two important markets.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading regional sales strategy, execution and growth.
  • Managing and expanding senior relationships across builders and manufacturing partners.
  • Identifying and commercialising new opportunities in the market.
  • Educating customers on innovation, technology and technical solutions.
  • Leading and supporting a small team across WA and SA.
  • Contributing to strategic planning, customer satisfaction and market development.
What we’re looking for, We’re seeking a proven sales leader with strong commercial instincts and the credibility to influence a technical, relationship-driven market.
You’ll bring:
  • Experience in residential building materials, construction supply or a closely aligned market.
  • Strong sales leadership and business development capability.
  • Our client is also open to considering technical solutions sales experts in the residential building materials market who could be ready to step into a leadership role
  • A solid understanding of the Perth and WA market.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with residential builders and industry partners.
  • Confidence working with technical products and solutions.
  • The ability to read technical drawings or work with CAD, highly regarded.
  • A self-sufficient, honest, resilient and collaborative approach.
