Injury Management Specialist
Six Degrees Executive is partnering with a well-established ANZ organisation to recruit an experienced Injury Management Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing positive outcomes and taking a proactive approach to injury management and return-to-work programs.
About the Role
Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager ANZ, you will manage the end-to-end injury management process across a diverse portfolio of work-related and non-work-related injuries. Working closely with leaders, employees, insurers and medical providers, you'll play a key role in supporting recovery outcomes and reducing the impact of workplace injuries.
You'll join a business that is investing in its injury management capability, with a strong focus on early intervention, rehabilitation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage workers compensation and non-work-related injury cases from initial notification through to resolution
- Develop and coordinate return-to-work and suitable duties programs
- Build strong relationships with injured employees, treating practitioners, insurers and internal stakeholders
- Monitor claim performance and identify opportunities to improve outcomes
- Provide expert advice to leaders on injury management, rehabilitation and legislative obligations
- Support investigations and challenge claims where appropriate, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Analyse injury trends and provide reporting to support business decision-making
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
- Partner closely with the wider Health, Safety and People & Culture teams
- Previous experience managing workers compensation and injury management case
- Strong understanding of return-to-work legislation and workers compensation frameworks
- Experience supporting blue-collar or operational workforces across multiple sites
- Ability to influence and engage a broad range of stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting employee wellbeing
- Confident using systems and data to identify trends and drive improvements
- Experience within safety, health and wellbeing or a related discipline will be highly regarded
- RTW Coordinator training, Cert IV in WHS or similar qualifications are advantageous
- National scope across Australia and New Zealand
