About the company
Our client, an established electrical products business is seeking a qualified electrician to step into a Technical Trainer role supporting its growing Queensland sales team, based in Eight Mile Plains.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong electrical knowledge but is looking to move further away from the tools into a technical, training and customer-facing role.
You will be responsible for training internal sales teams, installers, wholesalers and customers on a range of electrical products, applications, compliance requirements and installation considerations.
The role will suit someone who enjoys teaching others, solving technical problems and working with a variety of people across the industry.
About the role
• Train and develop sales representatives on product knowledge, applications and compliance requirements.
• Deliver toolbox sessions, industry nights and product training for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support installers, wholesalers, contractors and customers with technical product questions.
• Provide technical troubleshooting support around product, installation and compliance matters.
• Work with product managers and internal teams to provide field feedback and support product improvement.
• Engage with supply authorities and industry stakeholders where required.
• Develop training content, programs and resources to support ongoing learning.
• Manage a flexible schedule across office-based work, customer visits and field travel.
About you
• You are a a qualified electrician.
• You have experience across residential and/or commercial electrical work.
• You may currently be working as an electrician, electrical supervisor, technical trainer or electrical product specialist.
• You have strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards and installation requirements.
• You enjoy dealing with people and can explain technical information in a simple, practical way.
• You are confident presenting to small and large groups.
• You are organised, proactive and comfortable managing your own calendar.
• You have a genuine interest in helping others learn and develop.
