An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Plant Manager to lead a key manufacturing operation in Seven Hills. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will take full accountability for site safety, operational performance, workforce leadership and financial outcomes.
This is a high-impact leadership role suited to a proven manufacturing leader who thrives in fast-paced industrial environments and enjoys building high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement and delivering sustainable operational excellence. As Plant Manager, you will lead all site operations with responsibility for safety, quality, production, maintenance, supply chain performance and people leadership. You will oversee a team of approximately 50 employees and be accountable for delivering operational and financial targets while fostering a culture focused on safety, customer service and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and promoting a "Safety First" culture across the site
  • Managing site operations to achieve production, quality and cost objectives
  • Delivering budgeted P&L outcomes and operational performance targets
  • Driving continuous improvement, productivity and reliability initiatives
  • Leading workforce planning, talent development and succession planning
  • Managing production scheduling, maintenance planning and inventory optimisation
  • Supporting a robust S&OP process to align operational capability with customer demand
  • Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and regulatory stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental, safety and quality standards
What We're Looking For To be successful, you will bring:
  • Experience leading industrial operations at Plant Manager level
  • Strong P&L and commercial management experience within a production environment
  • A track record of delivering operational improvements, cost reduction and productivity gains
  • Demonstrated experience driving safety performance and cultural transformation
  • Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams through change and growth
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement and operational excellence principles
  • Experience working in heavy industrial, chemical, packaging, recycling or process manufacturing environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science or a related discipline
  • WHS qualifications highly regarded
  • Leadership or Management qualifications desirable
