Our client is a small to medium B2B industrial manufacturing business in Australia with the backing of a large global parent company. They manufacture overseas and import and distribute their products across Australia to local retailers. They are based in the southeast suburbs of Melbourne and are looking for a Finance Manager to care-take the role for a 12-month fixed-term contract, while the CFO is seconded to an ERP implementation project. With a flexible working arrangement of three days in the office and two days from home.

The hands-on Finance Manager role will be a 12-month fixed-term contract role reporting into the CFO. This position is responsible for managing four direct reports, two of which are in Melbourne and two in India. The role is responsible for:

About the role

- Managing all financial control including month-end
- Preparing financial statements and reporting
- Developing the annual operating plan and financial budget
- Business partnering with stakeholders at the Australian and overseas head offices
- Oversee and monitor banking, financing and capital structure
- Oversee tax and compliance
- Coordinate the annual audit
- Previous experience in FMCG, industrial manufacturing or retail are ideal with a consideration for experience in wholesale distribution
- CPA/CA qualification required
- Experience with SAP desirable, but not required
- Hybrid role with three days in the office and two days at home
- Available to start at the end of September
- Able to travel to the southeast suburbs of Melbourne with the role located in Mount Waverley
