A leading industrial services organisation is seeking an exceptional State Manager to lead one of its largest and most strategically important business units across New South Wales and the ACT.
This role holds full P&L accountability for a diverse operation generating approximately $400M in revenue, with responsibility for 900 employees, 600 heavy vehicle assets and multiple operational locations servicing a variety of industry sectors.

The Opportunity Reporting into a National General Manager, you will lead a geographically dispersed operation through a team of Regional Managers while working closely within a matrix leadership environment encompassing Safety, HR, Fleet and Commercial stakeholders.
Success in the role will be driven by your ability to:

  • Maximise performance and return from existing assets and infrastructure
  • Drive exceptional safety outcomes through visible, front-line leadership
  • Deliver strong financial performance and operational efficiency

  • Develop trusted relationships with customers, regulators and key stakeholders
  • You You are an experienced operational executive who has successfully led large-scale industrial, transport, logistics, infrastructure, manufacturing or service-based businesses.
You will bring:
  • Proven leadership of large, complex P&Ls
  • Experience managing regionally dispersed operations and front-line workforce's
  • Strong commercial acumen and customer focus
  • A demonstrated track record of delivering EBIT growth and operational performance
  • Deep commitment to safety leadership and operational risk management
  • The ability to lead effectively in a matrix environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of heavy asset, transport or chain of responsibility environments (highly regarded)
