Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for payroll preparation activities, including accuracy of timesheet data, leave and allowance claims, authorisations, and compliance with policy and legislation
- Maintain visibility of pay run processing information across the business to ensure accurate data is provided to external payroll processing provider/s
- Provide advice and support across a range of operational HR functions including job evaluation, staff appointments, recruitment and selection, conditions of employment, induction, and performance management
- Contribute to the preparation of submissions, reports, executive briefs and correspondence on HR and organisational development matters
- Manage electronic correspondence, tracking and filing systems for personnel files, position descriptions, job evaluations and related documentation
- Assist with the design, implementation and evaluation of change management, workforce planning and organisational development initiatives
- Support the research, collection and collation of data to compile HR metrics and reporting
- Contribute to the effective management of the business unit's resources in line with governance, risk, WHS and records management frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in an HR generalist role with strong exposure to payroll processes and liaison with external payroll providers
- Well developed knowledge of public sector legislation, policy and procedures relating to HR practice, remuneration and benefits
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise and negotiate across all levels of an organisation
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team
- Sound written communication skills for reports, letters and correspondence
- Aurion experience highly regarded
