Product Manager - Sports

An exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join a leading sports and lifestyle apparel business on a 9-month maternity leave contract.  The role will manage the product lifecycle across a range of sports and lifestyle apparel products in Australia and New Zealand, working closely with design, sales and wider teams to deliver commercially strong ranges on time.

The role will cover:
  • Managing product ranges from planning through to delivery
  • Building line plans and working closely with design on range selection
  • Managing assortment, pricing, budgets and margins
  • Creating catalogues and other selling tools
  • Managing exclusive club and partnership requests
  • Coordinating multiple projects and deadlines across the sporting calendar
  • Reviewing sales performance and product results
  • Keeping across global sports and apparel ranges, particularly NBA and MLB, and identifying what is relevant for the Australian market
  • Supporting the delivery of key sporting partnerships across Australia and NZ
What they’re looking for:
  • Product Management experience across fashion, apparel, sports, lifestyle or consumer products
  • Experience working across the product lifecycle, from range planning through to delivery
  • A strong understanding of licensing is important
  • A genuine interest in sport and an understanding of the sporting calendar
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, including experience with pricing, margins and budgets
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Collaborative and confident working closely with design and sales teams
A background in fashion or apparel product would be highly relevant, as would experience within sports, lifestyle or licensed product.
