Process Engineer (6-month contract)

The Role
The Process Engineer will join the business on a 6-month contract to support process engineering, project delivery and broader scale-up activity across the site.
This is a practical, site-based role working across process calculations, equipment, P&IDs, suppliers, process safety, plant modifications and project execution.
The role would suit someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable working across different technical challenges and wants exposure to a growing advanced manufacturing environment where the work is broad and genuinely interesting.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a practical, adaptable Process Engineer who can apply strong engineering fundamentals while remaining comfortable working across a broad range of technical areas.
You will ideally bring experience across process engineering, project delivery, process calculations, P&IDs, equipment sizing, suppliers and process safety within manufacturing, chemical processing, energy, mining, water, consultancy or a similar industrial environment.
The business is open-minded on the exact background for this contract and does not expect candidates to tick every box, with immediate or short-notice availability being highly desirable.

- Support process engineering and project delivery activity across the site.
- Develop, review and update P&IDs, process documentation and technical drawings.
- Complete process calculations, equipment sizing and technical assessments.
- Support equipment specification, vendor engagement and technical review.
- Work closely with suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Support HAZOP, process safety, risk reviews and plant modification activity.
- Assist with commissioning, troubleshooting and implementation of process changes.
- Support project schedules, progress tracking and technical reporting.
