About the role

The National Sales Manager will take genuine ownership of Lavazza’s commercial and sales agenda across New Zealand and selected accounts across the Pacific Islands, with responsibility spanning Retail, Foodservice/OOH, distributor management and new business development. This is a senior, market-facing role focused on driving distribution, revenue and market share, while strengthening major customer and distributor relationships. Key priorities will include continuing the strong retail trajectory, accelerating growth across Foodservice and OOH, and driving new business objectives with both new and existing partnerships. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to identify these new opportunities, challenge the status quo and build the foundations for Lavazza's long-term growth in New Zealand.
 
Skills & experience required

We are seeking a commercially driven National Business Manager / National Sales Manager-level FMCG leader with a strong track record managing significant customer relationships and taking ownership of a broader commercial agenda. The ideal candidate will have strong major retail customer experience, with exposure across both Retail and OOH/Foodservice customers highly desirable. You will bring a strong understanding of negotiations, ranging, forecasting, promotions, distribution and commercial planning, alongside sound commercial and P&L capability. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, customer-focused leader who is equally comfortable nurturing existing relationships and opening new doors; a true hunter and farmer who is motivated by growth, enjoys being in the market and wants genuine ownership of the New Zealand business. FMCG experience is essential, while coffee experience is highly desirable but not a prerequisite.
