Electrical Engineer
Electrical Engineer | Brisbane
This Brisbane manufacturer makes its own graphene from natural gas using a proprietary process.
As production scales up, they need an electrical engineer to own the electrical systems that run it.
You’ll look after the electrical side of the production plant, R&D equipment and site, including high-power and electrically driven process equipment.
Some days involve fault-finding on the plant floor, and others involve designing the supply for a capacity upgrade or a new R&D project.
The role is site-based and works closely with process, production, maintenance and R&D teams, as well as contractors and suppliers.
What you’ll do
What you’ll bring
Hazardous area experience (AS/NZS 60079, EEHA) is highly regarded, as is exposure to high-power or power electronic equipment such as microwave, RF, VSDs or industrial heating. PLC and controls experience, RPEQ registration or eligibility, and an electrical trade background would also be valued.
The team is lean and growing, and you’ll often work on equipment you haven’t seen before.
This role suits someone who is curious about new technology, practical on site and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
This is a permanent, full-time role based on site in Brisbane.
