Our client is a well-established national distributor in the healthcare sector, who supply essential products to a broad base of B2B customers across Australia. Their Sydney DC is a high-volume, high-compliance site, which runs a large workforce across multiple shifts and carries tens of thousands of active SKUs. The business is growing and plans to move into a new, purpose-built facility in Western Sydney, with a new WMS to follow.

The role of Warehouse Manager will run the entire Sydney warehouse operation, leading 6–8 Supervisors across inbound, inventory control, dispatch and AM/PM pick-pack, and a site team of 120–150 people.This role suits a hands-on leader who's comfortable leading a large team of people, capable of driving efficiencies and performance.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading end-to-end warehouse operations across inbound, receiving, inventory, dispatch and pick-pack
  • Coaching and developing a long-serving Supervisor team, embedding SOPs and building accountability
  • Owning labour planning and productivity across a multi-shift operation
  • Managing site capacity and overflow arrangements over the coming months
  • Maintaining strict adherence to the Code of Good Warehousing Practice (GWP), compliance and safety standards
  • Working constructively with a unionised workforce and supporting the business through EBA processes
  • Contributing to the planning and execution of the move to the new site and the WMS implementation
  • Driving continuous improvement and keeping operational reporting accurate and timely
We’re looking for
  • Proven experience running an entire warehouse or DC operation, at Warehouse Manager or DC Manager level
  • Experience in high-SKU, high-volume, fast-moving environments is highly regarded
  • Strong coaching ability and a track record of lifting supervisor capability
  • Experience with RF-scanning WMS platforms. Manhattan experience is a bonus
  • Warehouse relocation or fit-out experience, which is highly advantageous
