About the company
Our client is a large ASX-listed, infrastructure construction company seeing a very rapid period of growth. In this newly created permanent role, you are joining a business at an exciting time, where they are investing in the enterprise applications of the business. This role sits within Shared Services supporting the finance team and eventually the broader business. We are looking for a finance & accounting background who has experience as a systems accountant, project accountant focusing on ERP implementations or the like. This role straddles both the accounting & finance and systems support, perfect for someone who has an A&F background and now wants to focus their career on technology. 
 
About the role
Working within Shared Services and reporting directly to the Finance System Administrator, the Finance System Support Analyst provides day-to-day administration and first-line support across core finance and payroll systems, including Jobpac and Xero. The role acts as the primary contact for user access, configuration queries, and incident resolution, collaborating closely with Finance, Payroll, and IT Service Desk teams.
 
Beyond maintaining operational readiness and supporting key period-end and payroll cycles, this position plays an integral part in standardising workflows across newly acquired entities. With structured training and upskilling provided, the successful candidate will progressively develop deep platform expertise to take on broader administration duties and support future enterprise-wide ERP transition initiatives.  
 
Skills & Experience
  • Foundational background in accounting, payroll, or finance operations with experience transitioning into systems support.
  • Solid understanding of core finance processes, including payroll, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable.
  • Experience in systems implementations, systems accounting either as stand-alone roles or within your role in finance.
  • Demonstrated methodical troubleshooting capabilities and strong communication skills as this role business partners with key finance stakeholders.
  • Prior exposure to an ERP or corporate finance system (such as Jobpac) is advantageous
