Performance Marketing Director
Our client is a well known, pureplay eCommerce business who are embarking on a significant growth agenda that will see them expand their footprint into the US and European markets and completely redevelop and deliver their product offering within each of these markets. With an already established brand name in the local market our client will be completly transforming everything – how they go to market, what they go to market with, how they drive customers to the long tail funnel and extract better lifetime value.
The role will have the opportunity to build an in-house Performance Marketing function with the aim of driving search and wider digital media spend for the company. This will involve building and leading the team from the ground up, as both the lead performance marketing expert and as the strategic lead, setting up the strategy, framework and ways of working. The role will work hand in hand with Product and technology teams to build supporting platforms to upgrade the customer experience and deliver the strongest possible media ROI and lifetime value from customers.
To be successful
To be successful you will have an established track record at a senior level in Performance Marketing ideally within a B2C business hat has a very sophisticated digital product offering and a large customer base, but most importantly within a highly competitive industry. You will have ideally started your career in the technical or mathematical functions within backend development, rather than purely marketing, and will bring a high degree of analytical capability and commercial acumen to the table in order to manage the large budget allocation (north of $25million) and forecasting required with the role. You must be able to demonstrate that you have managed significant performance budgets previously to be considdered for this role. In addition you will also be highly strategic and outcomes focussed with a growth mindset and the ability to think differently about how to acquire long term customers, whilst still being able to lead, develop and support a team. Finally, you must have a level of agility, to be able to operate in a very fast paced and dynamic environment, being one step ahead of the market at every stage.
