Our client is looking for a digital communications professional to join their team on a part-time basis.

The role
Reporting to the Head of Communications and part of a dynamic communications team, you will champion the use of digital and online channels to support engagement with local and international audiences by:
- Developing and executing the digital communications strategy
- Crafting engaging written content for weekly industry e-newsletter, industry print publications, social media and digital channels and website
- Reinventing and repurposing knowledge resources and content to optimise their digital delivery and ongoing use
- Developing, executing and measuring delivery of digital campaigns and programs
- Growing the website to be the leading industry knowledge hub for growers, consumers, industry stakeholders and broader audiences
- Continue to grow, improve and champion the digital communications toolkit for the organisation, its partners and members
- Develop a deep understanding of the best use of social media channels within the industry, to drive engagement and effectively communicate challenges, opportunities and key priorities to APAL target audiences
- Work with the member data management function to develop tools and profiles to improve targeting of communications and understanding of member needs and interests
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in digital communications, marketing, or related discipline
- At least 3 years in digital communications including strategy and campaign planning
- Demonstrated experience as a communications professional or journalist
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Adobe creative suite, Canva, WordPress and MailChimp
- Demonstrated experience in designing digital content, including experience using InDesign and Photoshop, and experience with managing the development of multi-media assets (especially video and/or animatics desirable)
- Ability to communicate complex matters in a creative, simple and engaging way
- The ability and desire to work cooperatively with others in a team
