Our client is a manufacturer in the southeast suburbs, based in Braeside. They are going through growth and are adding an additional headcount on a contract basis with the opportunity to go permanent.
About the role
This is a 6-month contract role based in Braeside, with the opportunity to go permanent. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in the manufacturing space where there is plenty of opportunity within the business to grow and develop. This is a small team, division and business, with the benefits of being part of a much larger organisation. The role will be highly supported with a lot of guidance and development.
The Commercial Analyst role sits within the finance funtion in the commercial finance team and reports into the GM of Commercial and is responsible for supporting the supply chain and operations team. You will act as a business partner to the supply chain and operations side of the business, and will be savvy with Excel, able to manage your time and have strong interpersonal skills.
You will be responsible for the analysis of product data including the cost of goods, as well as analysis of freight and distribution costs, customer pricing and forecasting. You will be able to identify, provide resolutions to data anomolies, and be adept at using different technologies. Be able to identify trends and implications of increasing costs and forecasts.
About you
Our client is open to industry background (but exposure to manufacturing would be beneficial), most importantly we are looking for very strong Excel skills as well as strong relationship building and communication skills. You are smart, passionate and keen to learn.

- Experience in working with large data sets and applying advanced Excel skills to build and maintain complex spreadsheets
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communications skills
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Strong data analysis skills
- Exposure to manufacturing highly regarded, but not necessary
- CPA is not required but desirable
