Our client is one of Australia's most iconic and well known retailers - with close to 40 years in history, the business operates a franchise model with over 100 sites nationally. 


About the role
This is a 3-6 month contract role and an ASAP start based in Mulgrave with a hybrid working model. Hourly rate will range from $40.00-$50.00 per hour dependant on candidate experience. 

The Financial Accountant's responsibilities are focused on providing financial support and operational reporting for the company. Working as part of a small team, the role reports directly to a supportive CFO. Your role will have a breadth of responsibilities, which will include:
  • Preparation of monthly management reports for CFO and Finance Committee
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and year end management reports
  • Assist with the annual budget process
  • Manage store rebates
  • IAS and BAS returns and Annual Fringe Benefit Tax payments
  • Provide key assistance to external auditors

About you
Our client is open to industry background and experience, but ideal qualities include the ability to adapt, be curious and do the digging. There won't be a handover from the incumbent and therefore an ability to build relationships with stakeholders, ask questions and be curious are integral to the role. 
  • Minimum 5 years experience in accounting
  • CPA/CA qualified desirable but not necessary
  • Retail industry experience advantageous
