About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Industry Engagement and Programs, will lead the development and delivery of several major B2B industry conferences and tradeshow events in 2023 and 2024. The position is responsible for the development of the strategic direction for these events, developing project plans and critical paths, budget management, forecasting and procurement and supplier liaison, industry engagement, and establishing support teams from across Visit Victoria departments to support with event branding, execution, and marketing and communications. This is a 2 year contract position.

About You
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the planning, development, project management and delivery of large-scale conferences & events in a leadership role.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders including senior stakeholders, Government, tourism industry and commercial event partners, with a proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
- Proven experience leading and developing outcome-driven teams in line with the organisations’ business objectives, with a successful track record of directing and managing project teams.
- Commercial acumen including significant high-level negotiation and budget management experience and extremely high level of attention to detail.
- Highly developed communication skills, presenting, report writing skills and experience in the preparation of creative and media briefs, briefings, and submissions for a senior executive audience.
