Newly created role with responsibility for the strategic design and operational effectiveness of the Marketing and Communications function across Australia, US and UK
About the Business
This business is a rapidly growing team of retail experts, hardware engineers, software developers, data scientists, and operations specialists who work together to support retailers across the globe. They pioneered the concept of in-store sensor technology being invisible by design – technology that doesn’t get in the way of the customer experience or the team’s workflow. Having full control over the technology has enabled them to implement customer behaviour tracking in any retail environment previously considered too challenging, including pop-up booths and large format stores with high shelves. With significant growth aspirations, and an ever changing market conditions; this business is looking to further cement its position in global markets initially focused on the US and UK.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, the Global Marketing Manager is a member of the leadership team and has overall responsibility for the strategic design and operational effectiveness of the marketing and communications function. This includes defining the overall marketing and communications strategy, oversight of marketing and communications initiatives to drive brand recognition, fuel revenue growth through and deliver strong client affinity and relations. You will ensure seamless cross-channel integration is delivered – be that across digital and traditional means, direct and the internal sales teams, large scale global events and PR. You will lead the creation of the integrated marketing plan and strategies for defined verticals, including audience segmentation, and marketing tactics. This role strategically works across the entire sales journey, delivering contact-specific marketing - including digital and face-to-face interactions (e.g. events, webinars, podcasts, demos, content etc). Leveraging global best practice frameworks, the candidate will ensure campaigns are personalised and relevant, utilising data and insights to implement, measure and optimise campaigns across the funnel more effectively. Critically, this role will play a key role in defining new market entry and the go-to-market plans internationally (travel will be required as permitted).
About You
You are a degree qualified, digitally savvy senior marketer with 10+ years experience across the B2B landscape, ideally with sound understanding of retail environments. With deep experience in delivering integrated strategic plans, launching go-to-market strategies, you have multi-channel experience and love utilising customer insights to drive strategic outcomes. Leveraging your account based marketing experience, you have a track record of partnering with sales functions to generate qualified leads and pilots. The candidate will be a strategic and commercial operator, and have an innate ability to identify new commercial opportunities and maximise them. At ease being hands on in a fast-paced environment, you are resourceful and have the ability to understand how these tactical actions will impact the long term strategy. You are driven and charismatic, autonomous, highly commercial, and looking for a career defining environment to showcase your ability.
