Our client is one of the largest community mental health providers in Australia, who have demonstrated time and again their ability to enter new regions and roll out new and critical mental health and wellbeing services. At a local level, they work in partnership with hospitals, clinics, universities and community health services.
 
About the role
Reporting to the Communications Lead, the Employee Engagement Officer will develop and implement an overarching internal communication strategy. You will be leading and supporting on internal communication change and culture projects, as well as monitoring internal activities and employee engagement. In this role, you will be creating original content for the organisation’s internal channels and track trends to advise internal stakeholders.

You will also be responsible for leading the creation of digital content and managing the internal digital channels. This will include videos, photography, and organic content, and will include reporting the effectiveness of each channel and adjust accordingly.
 
Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Media, Journalism, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing internal communications strategies
  • Experience in developing content for digital platforms
  • Experience with copy writing is desired
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a productive team member
  • Experience engaging with external stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear messages and interact with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with Intranet/SharePoint
  • Knowledge of the mental health and/or community services desirable
