About the company
Our client is a large ASX listed global business within the manufacturing sector looking for an immediately available Financial Accountant. 


About the role
This 6-month contract role reports into the Director of Financial Control to assist with the preparation of their consolidated statutory half-year financial statements to meet ASX listed requirements. They are looking for someone who has had experience preparing financial statements in a large ASX listed company. This role is based in Parkville and the daily rate range is approx. $450-$500 plus super per day,  equivalent to an annual salary approx. $120,000-$130,000 plus super, dependant on experience and qualifications. 

Responsibilities of the role include:
  • Contribute to the bi-annual statutory planning process, including the preparation of statutory reporting instructions and design of the reporting templates
  • Prepare group consolidated statutory financial statements to meet ASX requirements and respond to the related audit requests and queries
  • Review local statutory reporting and track completion of all statutory reports
  • Contribute to various finance projects and initiatives from time to time

About you
  • You are immediately available and can start ASAP. 
  • You are CPA/CA qualified. 
  • You have ASX listed experience in a large business.
  • You have experience preparing and reviewing ASX financial statements. 
  • Manufacturing experience is not necessary but highly regarded.
  • Exposure to SAP and Workiva, desirable but not necessary.
