About the role
Reporting to the Communications Manager, this role will be responsible increasing overall brand awareness of each program and increase reach amongst key target audiences. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic communication and design plan and manage a range of content for both internal and external channels.
Working closely with the Digital team, you will coordinate digital activities and be responsible for growing the company’s programs and social media presence and contribute to the media calendar. In this role, you will collaborate with the Program Coordinators and identify new opportunities to develop new training materials and resources.
 
Skills & Experience
  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or related discipline are desirable
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar position
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic marketing plans and experience in evaluating and reporting on performance
  • Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and constructively with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of publication design and the publication process from concept to production, for both print and digital materials.
  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate creativity, initiative, and effective personal judgement
  • Exceptional writing skills and an ability to write for different audiences across a range of mediums
  • Experience working in the non-profit or community services sectors is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise, and work to tight deadlines
  • Highly developed skills across Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suites
