Head of Wagering
Our client is an Australian organisation, that is looking to source a a key role which supports the on-going financial sustainability of their clubs and communities. The Head of Wagering is responsible for the leadership and delivery of the wagering strategy to achieve the growth, revenue and customer targets in accordance with their broader strategic plan. At all times the organisation ensures clubs are the heart of their communities and provides equal opportunities for all participants to compete.
Managing one team member, this role is pivotal in:
* Understanding the customer and their drivers including gathering data to ensure new products and initiatives are targeted and returns are effectively measured
* Developing deep relationships with Wagering Service Providers (WSP) including new market entrants to ensure appropriate fair and equitable returns
* Collaborating to ensure that scheduling and programming, content, media and customer experience are set up to achieve wagering revenue targets and maximise returns.
* Building and improving internal capability to ensure organisational wagering knowledge is developed / refined
* Budget management, forecasting and financial accountability for wagering outcomes
Ideally you will have gained experience in wagering product development and have strengths in data analysis and reporting. You will be able to display a high degree of commercial acumen and sector knowledge in sport wagering or closely related fields. As a results driven professional, you will be a naturally strong relationship builder and be comfortable bringing a solutions focus and innovative thinking. The ability to assess options and identify and implement creative solutions and provide informed advice is key.
