Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) is the statutory body responsible for the control, development and promotion of harness racing in Victoria. With a mission to promote industry participation, integrity and racing excellence and develop new revenue streams, this is an exciting opportunity for the Head of Clubs to work as part of the commercial team to ensure a vibrant future for the harness racing industry in Victoria through strategic growth plans and ongoing support to 28 clubs across Victoria.
 
Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with clubs to drive growth for both individual clubs and Harness Racing Victoria as a whole, to achieve sustainable, commercial success through:
  • Commercial and strategic planning
  • Sponsorship and partnership management
  • Identifying new ways to utilise assets and drive new revenue streams
  • Infrastructure development
  • Community engagement initiatives
  • PR and brand awareness (with support from internal marketing team)
  • Governance and compliance guidelines
 
Key requirements:
  • Extensive partnership experience
  • Experience building and driving strategic business plans
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • PNL management experience
  • Ability to identify and drive new commercial opportunities
  • Highly engaging, influential, adaptable and empathetic
  • Collaborative and innovative mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, representing the brand in community and media opportunities
