About the opportunity
 
Reporting to the highly supportive and humanistic CEO, this business-critical senior leadership role holds a position on the Executive Leadership Team, you will play and influential role in reshaping the front end of the business, this is a transformational role that will see the successful candidate make significant improvements around the go to market strategy with regards to systems, processes and most importantly people. The role has 8 direct reports and responsibility for the marketing activities of the brand and organisation.
 
Key duties & responsibilities
  • Develop a disciplined “sales funnel process” to deliver company revenue and margin targets
  • Ensure compliance with sales tools to capture current and accurate information about all opportunities & activity
  • Review organisation structure of the sales function; develop position descriptions, targets and KPI’s for each team member and actively manage performance against these
  • Document and implement key account management process to align with the overall business structure
  • Implement systems and processes/tech stack that will gave the sales team information that will assist them with making better data driven business decisions
  • Run a tiered approach to appropriately service large, strategic accounts as well as lower touch / smaller clients
  • Manage direct outreach plan for sales growth within both existing and new customers
  • Oversee process for qualifying and allocating inbound customer enquiries
  • Partner with the Head of Projects to build and manage the pipeline of major bids and projects
  • Drive a consistent and disciplined tender response process to improve conversion
  • Understand customer purchasing behaviour and manage cycle from awareness to closure
  • Own the integrated marketing plan across digital and non-digital channels, including web site optimisation (SEO and SEM)
Skills & experienced required
  • Degree in business or a related field
  • Be an intelligent executive sales leader who can flip between strategic and tactical initiatives with ease
  • Ideally have a strong pedigree coming from an industrial B2B business environment – corporate and SME experience desirable
  • Have experience of sales process transformation and people capability uplift
  • Be a highly engaging and supportive people leader who can drive and influence positive change
  • Have a humanistic and coaching leadership style
