About the company
Our client is a manufacturer in the southeast suburbs, based in Braeside. They are a small to medium business but are part of a very large global entity.


About the role
This full-time permanent Financial Controller role reports into the Finance Director and is responsible for full controllership including planning and reporting. The role has three direct reports - AP, AR and a Financial Accountant. Responsibilities include:
  • Finalise all reporting including month end
  • P&L, balance sheet, cash flows, budgets & forecasting, providing reporting, analysis & value-added business recommendations
  • AP, AR, fixed asset register, cash flow management, general ledger, bank reconciliations
  • Business partner with other business units on the leadership team
  • Financial control including internal audit support and external audit liaison
  • Tax, fringe benefit tax and year-end tax pack completions

About you
You are a qualified accountant with team leadership experience, coming from exposure to manufacturing. You are curious and like to think outside of the box, you are a good problem-solver and inquisitive in nature. 
  • You are CA/CPA qualified
  • You have leadership/management experience
  • Exposure to manufacturing/production is desirable but not necessary
  • Highly developed analytical and modelling skills
  • Strong process improvement and systems knowledge
