About the company
Our client is a small FMCG company based in Williamstown who play in a niche market within the B2B sector. They are transitioning through a time of growth and expansion and are looking for a passionate and savvy Finance Manager to join their small team. With both a domestic and international presence, they are looking to continue expanding their product overseas. Based in a great location, this role is ideal for anyone living in the West. 



About the role
The Finance Manager will report into the Managing Director/Owner of the business and will be responsible for both hands-on accounting and reporting as well as providing strategic and commercial direction and advice. There are no direct reports into this role as this is a small business. The role is based in Williamstown and as they are such a small and close-knit team, they have an office-based working model, so it is expected to work in the office Monday through Friday. With plenty of parking on site and close to Williamstown and Newport shops, it is in a great central location for anyone living in the west. 

Responsibilities include:
  • You will manage the P&L, balance sheet, reconciliation, manage cash flow and cash flow forecasting
  • Review month-end closing activities including GL, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocation
  • Manage accounts receivabe, supplier relationships and contracts
  • Handle payroll, BAS, FBT, tax, workers comp etc
  • Planning, budgeting, forecasting and costing for optimal performance and growth 
  • Present figures to the directors on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • Able to think big picture and present complex financial data in a simple and concise manner


About you
You are CPA/CA qualified, have experience in manufacturing and working in a small business where you enjoy being hands-on and in the detail while also having an ability to look at the big picture, be strategic with a commercial mindset.

Ideally, you have FMCG manufacturing experience but we will also consider any kind of manufacturing/production. You enjoy working in a small office environment where the factory floor and office are fluid and open.
