About the role
The Head of Category will report directly to the CEO and be an integral member of the Leadership Team, adding value from an organisational and people leadership perspective. The key focus of this position is to drive the development and delivery a well-developed category strategy for the business across food and general merchandise and build and execute exciting category and trade plans that will maximise financial outcomes for the business and engagement with customers and partners. The Head of Category will also be responsible for garnering strong support across the retail network and support centre functions to execute the plan, making adjustments to drive the best ROI for the organisation.
 
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have extensive retail merchandise management experience, encompassing people management, key strategic planning and ideally have exposure to product development in the food or beverages space. This role will best suit a curious candidate with experience working within a complex and fast-moving environment with well-developed communication and relationship building skills as well as the ability to lead and influence. You will be surrounded by a team of passionate, enthusiastic and driven individuals who live and breathe the brand and intrinsically understand how to connect with their consumers in an authentic and relatable way.
