Director of Marketing & Member Services
National Disability Services (NDS) is Australia’s peak body for non-government disability service organisations, representing over 1200 service providers and their workforce who provide support services for millions of people in the community with a disability.
Currently operating with a strong presence across all corners of Australia, their core functions are to advocate to government for sector-wide changes and improvements, to inform their members about issues that impact them, and to provide resources and services that assist them to deliver sustainable high quality support services to people with disabilities.
Six Degrees is excited to be partnering with National Disability Services (NDS) on the search for a new Director of Member Services and Marketing. This presents a wonderful opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to join such a high profile for-purpose organisation at an exciting time with all the positive change occurring in the sector.
The Role
Working directly under a phenomenal CEO, the Director of Member Services and Marketing will sit as part of the senior leadership team and will have an opportunity to shape the future of NDS’ membership program, benefits and partnerships while delivering fresh and inspired leadership to a team of 12. Responsible for developing growth strategies for all membership programs, products and services the role will also seek opportunities to benefit members and the broader disability sector, while identifying and developing income streams to sustain business operations and objectives. The role will provide leadership, direction and management across all membership and marketing related deliverables to ensure commercial growth objectives are achieved in line with the overall NDS strategic plan.
The Person
What will success look like for you in this role?
You will bring a proven track record in strategic marketing, product development and business development in a senior management capacity, having delivered multi-channel marketing strategies and engagement methodologies. Leadership capability and the ability to engage, develop and retain staff in a high performance culture will be critical as will a strength in stakeholder management across a diverse group from politicians and large national corporates through to cross functional teams and individual service providers. These skills could have been gained in either a similar NFP or membership related organisation or transferable from the corporate sector.
