Headquartered in Victoria's northern suburbs, with manufacturing presence interstate, this business developed essential infrastructure domestically and overseas with unique methodology and in-house equipment.
About the Opportunity
In this Mechanical Design Engineering role, you will be joining a well established in-house design team with a range of experience at the junior and senior end of the spectrum. Providing support across a range of critical business functions spanning the end to end manufacturing process, as well as being a technical conduit between customers and the sales/marketing function.
The role has a heavy focus on continuous improvement methodology within a design context - productivity, output and safety improvements are at the core of the business, as well as driving change to existing in-house production capability. Whilst largely a pure design role, this opportunity also gives you avenues to develop junior engineers and grow the overall skillset across the Engineering Services team. Growth opportunities exist within the business, with leadership avenues for outstanding candidates.
Skills and Experience Required
In order to be suitable for consideration, a successful candidate will possess the following:
- highly developed mechanical design aptitude within a manufacturing context
- Strong tenure within industry, circa 10+ years within mechanical design
- Full lifecycle exposure across design work, from ideation through to delivery
- 3D package acumen across Inventor, Solidworks or similar
- Strong communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
