About our client
Our client is a highly successful Australian FMCG organisation based in the inner western suburbs of Melbourne. They operate a number of manufacturing and distribution sites nationally and now have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Procurement Officer to join the Commercial team.
About the role
Reporting into the Product Manager (PM), the Procurement Officer will work closely with the PM to understand all aspects of the business and the scope of the Commercial team. You will be responsible for administering purchase orders, communicating supply chain details to internal stakeholders, identifying and understanding customer requirements and gaining insight into supplier relationships.
Ultimately this role offers an incredibly unique opportunity to understand the FMCG industry, work with international suppliers and eventually even travel overseas to meet suppliers.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, International Business, Supply Chain/Procurement or something similar
- Ability to build rapport with stakeholders, demonstrated in customer service or sales environments
- Ability to pick up new systems quickly, and demonstrate a commercial mindset
- Interest in travelling domestically and eventually internationally to visit suppliers and customers
