About the company’s:
Two exciting graduate positions located in the West and South of Melbourne. The first role is a Graduate Procurement Officer within the FMCG industry. The second role is with one of Australia’s leading transport tech organisations who are looking for a logistics graduate/coordinator.  
 
About the role’s:
Both roles involve gaining great exposure across supply chain functions in each business. Specifically, the procurement graduate position will heavily involve gaining knowledge on relationships with international and local suppliers across purchasing and procurement functions. The Logistics role will manage the day-to-day transport service demands and be highly proactive in liaising with clients and carriers, as well as maintaining data in the system and communicating issues and delays to the internal team.
 
Duties:
  • Working within the Commercial team on activities as directed.
  • Develop an understanding of core business activities, corporate policies, processes, and practices.
  • Gain insights into supplier relationships and ways of dealing with suppliers.
  • Prepare and use of reports and other analytical information from WMS/TMS systems to support day to day decisions.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customer operational staff, carriers and internal staff.
  • Provide feedback to stakeholders.
 
Skills and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or Tertiary Qualification in Commerce/Business/Supply Chain/Logistics ect.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sound analytical skills (excel).
  • Strategic and innovative thinker.
  • Experience working or dealing with transport/freight companies is advantageous.
