About the company 
 
Currently undergoing a significant transformation, our client is a public sector healthcare provider at the forefront of the government’s Covid – 19 response initiative. As part of this mandate this organisation is seeking to recruit a newly created Senior Commercial Analyst role to support senior stakeholders across the Procurement team. With a new mandate, new leadership and increased investment and focus on both the procurement and supply chain functions, this is a very exciting time to join the organisation! 
 
About the role: 
 
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this is a standalone role that offers the opportunity to make it your own and ensure there is a commercial grounding to procurement processes within the organisation. 
Key responsibilities include: 
  • Providing commercial support and analysis to the Procurement team, such as to the Category Managers and Heads of Sourcing 
  • Build and develop systems for how teams are measured on procurement structures and processes 
  • Review what commercial tools and frameworks the procurement team has in place to assess commercial respondents 
  • Educate internal stakeholders by incorporating best practice methodology and calculations 
  • Guidance for the preparation and review of Procurement’s sourcing activities, and associated internal decision papers  
Experience & skills required for the role: 
 
Successful candidates will ideally have: 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably within business, data, finance or procurement/supply chain 
  • 5+ years’ experience in a commercial analysis role, ideally within Finance, Procurement or Supply Chain  
  • Commercial and financial literacy – a CA, CPA or CFA qualification would be highly regarded 
  • Comfortability with MS Excel and Power BI, including pivot tables, charts and advanced formulas, is preferred 
  • An understanding of 3PL and logistics operations within the FMCG, Retail or Healthcare sectors
