About the company
Our client is a medium sized food manufacturing business based in the southeast suburbs who are looking for a Payroll Officer to join their team. They are a down-to-earth and friendly workplace who enjoy collaborating together. 


About the role
The role reports into the GM of Finance and looks after the payroll of 250 employees as part of the manufacturing site. Responsibilities include:
  • Processing payroll for 250 employees
  • Processing, scanning and filing all leave applications and other employees’ documentation
  • Labour hire management
  • Timesheets: polling, printing, calculations, updating rosters
  • PAYG payments and reconciliations
  • Work cover reimbursement management
  • New starters / Terminations
  • End of Month process
  • End of Year process
  • Training / Apprenticeship management
  • General payroll queries
  • Payroll reporting
  • Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office, State Revenue Office and other regulatory bodies
  • Ad hoc duties as required

About you
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing payroll
  • You are an experienced payroll officer 
  • You do not need manufacturing experience, all industry experience will be considered
  • You are happy to commute to the southeast suburbs in Clayton and you enjoy a hybrid working model (2-3 in office and 2-3 at home)
