Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and implement client relations and projects across PR and content marketing campaigns.
- Client services: Account lead driving client communication and project management, lead WIPs, pitching, reporting, budget management, proactive idea generation, troubleshooting, crisis comms.
- PR: Strategy, media lists, media pitching, partnerships, gifting, events and activations, influencer relations, seeding, stakeholder management and engagement
- Media network: Maintain strong relations with media and influencer contacts
- Content/copy: Write content for social, EDMs, collateral, blogs, invitations, seeding cards, marketing and communications.
- Social and digital: Not a core part of the role but may assist in media scheduling, community management, website uploads, EDMs, campaign execution etc.
- Leadership: Set tasks and support more junior team members, mentor and share knowledge and experience
The ideal candidate:
- 3+ years PR agency experience
- Strong technical PR skillset: media pitching, lists, media release writing, follow ups, processes, great media contacts
- Strong copywriting skills: social posts through to blog, media relations and marketing collateral
- Some experience mentoring/leading team members
- Excellent client services skillset
- Knowledge in food, beverages and/or tourism ideal but not essential
- Solutions focussed, can do attitude, team player
- Excellent time management, good systems and processes to support this
- Can jump into the role and get on the tools immediately: media lists, knows what a PR campaign looks like, gets it
- Some experience in social/digital ideally but not essential
