About the opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Communications, and as an integral senior member of the Communications Department, the Digital Communications Advisor will manage a small team and capture and edit content. Being both strategic and hands-on, in this role you will be responsible for:
  • Creating and developing high quality content to enhance the Eastern Health brand.
  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop and implement communication strategies and analyse all communication activity.
  • Manage the workload, processes, content planning and content production of the digital communications team.
  • Manage all digital communication channels, including social media and the Eastern Health website.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders by supporting communication objectives.
  • Support the Director of Communications with management responsibilities including acting in this capacity from time to time.
Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, capturing, editing, posting and analysing key communication activity.
  • Experience in managing people for optimal performance.
  • Photography and photo-editing skills and experience with professional-grade equipment such as DSLR cameras, flash etc and videography and video-editing skills
  • Excellent time management with a demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects, adapt to meet changing demands and meet deadlines.
  • High level of experience using Adobe Creative Suite, in particular, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom CC, Aftereffects and Illustrator
  • Experience using detailed content management systems (e.g. WordPress.com, WordPress.org, Jooomla) and basic understanding basic HTML and CSS is desirable
  • Ability to travel between Eastern Health sites and support the delivery of communication deliverables and hold a Victorian driver’s licence.
