Featuring multiple sites and a strong retail presence, this business is now entering the next phase of it's growth journey and are looking to build out additional operational resources. This opportunity is based in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

About the role
This supervisory role will be overseeing Night shift in a highly automated setting. Responsible for a lean and highly automated operation as part of a broader supply chain and production capability, you will be tasked with the smooth running of this facility in it's night shift operations, running from 7pm-7am. Key focus points for the role include:
  • Overseeing handover from day shift, ensuring smooth function for night shift activities
  • Managing a small team across production and quality
  • Driving success at line level regarding OH&S and food safety activities
  • Escalating any maintenance or line breakdowns to site maintenance team



What we are looking for 
In this role, we are looking for someone who has come from a broader manufacturing background, ideally across industries such as food, dairy, pharma, chemical or packaging. To be considered for the role you will demonstrate:
  • Previous leadership experience at supervisory level within manufacturing businesses
  • Understanding of or willingness to learn concepts such as Lean Manufacturing
  • Capability holding toolbox talks and general safety briefings, formal OH&S qualifications or training not required but will be looked on favourably
  • Good communication skills across multiple functions and levels of the business
