The Role
Reporting to an impressive, energetic and visionary C-suite leader this leadership role is critical in its contribution to the strategic direction of the business as it goes through a significant shift in its operating model – influencing global teams in applying new & innovative ideas to enhance a complete portfolio sell through the use of data and analytics whilst building capability & leveraging talent within the direct and broader teams with a future focus on what’s important to achieve corporate goals. A deep understanding of the consumer path to purchase and luxury journey (or premiumisation) is critical to the success of the role as is the portfolio vision in achieving no 1 position in every category globally and leading the local product team to execute against those goals. The role will also bring strategic depth and leadership capability to the Australian ELT as it transitions to a new operating model which will provide potential career development opportunities both locally and globally.
The Person
You will be a polished & inspirational Product leader from luxury consumer goods (or have led a premiumisation strategy) in a high-value category within a complex global business where you’ve led change and deeply understand the luxury consumer path to purchase. Your ability to influence without authority cross-functionally and with global teams and ensuring collective alignment across sales teams will be evident from the outcomes you’ve consistently achieved through pricing strategy, product mix and margin management, channel strategy (ideally multi-channel) and you’ll be methodical in how you’ve removed roadblocks and achieved quantifiable results. We are looking for leaders who’ve built high-performance teams, achieved market share and EBITDA growth, led premiumisation strategies and ideally a shift in channel & distribution strategy). Cultural & people focused leadership is a core value for this business so you’ll clearly articulate your inclusive leadership style that brings people on the journey of change in achieving product function excellence in a tier 1 consumer products brand.

You’ll have led teams and be looking to take your career to the next level, thrive in complexity, be strong with data and have led through change and subsequently demonstrate a high degree of self-awareness and EQ as a modern, progressive leader.
