About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Distribution Lead to join the growing logistics team in Shepparton. This is a newly created leadership position that will oversee two coordinators responsible for domestic and international export logistics.
 
Duties
  • Lead and mentor the domestic and export coordinators in their day-to-day duties and professional development.
  • Ensure all truck availability, freight bookings, and negotiations are handled efficiently and cost-effectively for both domestic and international shipments.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and carriers, to optimize logistics operations.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Ensure all documentation is correct and up-to-date for both domestic and international shipments.
  • Analyse logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
 
 
Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics
  • Strong leadership and people management skills within FMCG
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of logistics software and tools, including TMS and WMS.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decisions.
