About the role
This key and critical leadership role, you will play a crucial part in driving our sales strategy, expanding their customer base, achieving revenue targets, and developing the sales team capability across ANZ. You will lead a team of talented sales leaders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure their products meet market demands and customer expectations. Reporting directly to the EGM, you will have the opportunity to shape the sales function and make a significant impact on the company's overall growth.
Duties & responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's sales strategy to achieve revenue goals and maximize market penetration.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, guidance, and mentorship to drive individual and team success – 7 direct leadership reports and 25+ total in the team.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the customer base and increase market share.
- Foster strong relationships with key clients and channels to market including major Hardware/trade retailors, Fabricators and Manufacturers ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales collateral, promotional campaigns, and pricing strategies.
- Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify opportunities for product development and innovation.
- Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports to the executive team.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sales management.
- Proven track history in national sales leadership roles, preferably coming from another complex manufacturing business with diverse products and channels to market.
- Strong track record of driving sales growth and exceeding revenue targets.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present ideas and influence at all levels.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and interpret market data and customer insights.
- Ideally be degree qualified business, marketing, or a related subject however this is not essential.
