Our client is an industrial retailer who are looking for an urgent fill. They are based in Springvale and have a hybrid working model.
 

About the role
This position is a full-time 8-month contract role based in Springvale. You will join a finance team of almost 20 and report into the Senior Financial Accountant. With growth on the horizon, this is a great opportunity for someone at the assistant accountant level who is a part or fully-qualified CPA. Our client is looking for someone with good Excel skills who can do vlookup, pivot tables, sumifs, and conditional formatting.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Updating daily cash flow
  • Liaise with sales team on sales forecast update
  • Manage corporate cards
  • Uploading bank payments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist intercompany reconciliations
  • Other corporate accounting tasks
  • Assist FBT lodgement
  • Journal entries
 

Skills and experience
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience
  • Part or fully qualified CPA
  • Excel skills including and not limited to vlookup, pivot tables, sumifs, conditional formatting
  • A solid understanding of financial principles, accounting and bookkeeping
  • Outstanding attention to detail and reconciliation skills
  • An eye for detail, solid problem-solving skills and consistent quality of work is required
  • Great time management and efficient working practices
  • Flexibility mindset in a fast-moving environment
