Associate - Funds Management

Our client is a leading funds management firm with a global reach.  With a commitment to sustainable investment, the firm is at the forefront of delivering returns which align with its values. Offered as a 12-15 month contract, with the possibility of permanent, this role works within the broader the Fund & Mandate Compliance team, and will have responsibility across the following:
  • Lead or assist in the identification of emerging risks, trends and developments in investment compliance as they impact the Funds
  • Assist in the development of a framework to capture operational obligations to Investors and clients
  • Ensure that investment rules are capable of being monitored, working closely with front office and other teams
  • Lead or participate in project work as required to improve processes and procedures as they pertain to investment compliance
  • Actively contribute to the training and development of team members to ensure the continued uplift of the team’s skills
  • Perform and oversee daily pre and post trade monitoring across a range of asset classes
  • Identify and investigate breaches, and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure they are appropriately reported and remediated
As an experienced investment compliance professional, you will possess a sound understanding of relevant laws, regulations and governance requirements.  Additionally, a solid understanding of investment compliance principles and frameworks as they apply to financial instruments in listed equities and debt, and ideally infrastructure and private equity.

You must be able to work on tasks independently and work effectively with resources in other functions to complete projects.  You will have a high attention to detail, be comfortable handling multiple tasks with an ability to prioritise.  As a strong relationship builder, you will be comfortable consulting with individuals at all levels.
