This well-known business manufacturers and distributes a high-quality industrial product through a national network which has seen significant recent investment. With a range of new products leading the business into new customer segments this has resulted in an opportunity for a logistics leader to join the business in this key transformation role.

About the role
As Group Logistics & Distribution Manager you will develop and execute the national strategy for the national transport and distribution network. The role will be responsible for identifying key improvement initiatives and establishing an effective supply chain for new product markets.

Key tasks:
• Responsibility for all aspects of Safety, Service and Cost, across the network, along with ongoing assessment of capacity constraints and opportunities for future investment
• Lead and mentor a team and ensure the effective management of the day-to-day logistics and distribution operations
• Management of existing distribution partners against key performance metrics and establishing new partners as required

Skills & Experience
The position is best suited to an experienced logistics professional who has gained experience within both transport and warehousing and can demonstrate transformational leadership within businesses experiencing growth. A focused management style with well-developed people skills will be critical, along with strengths in problem solving, negotiation, and change management.
