About the role

The Sales & Customer Service Manager is accountable for delivering a consistently high customer service experience as well as being responsible via a dotted line for the sales teams’ new business, acquisition and customer retention targets, initiatives & strategies through multiple regions. Reporting to the Regional General Manager, the role will work across the branch based leadership team to ensure that sales and customer service initiatives and plans are consistent with the national strategy, and liaise with operations, marketing and brand to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. This role is also responsible for supporting the regional networks to deliver high quality profitable outcomes through sales wins, project driven tenders & price management activities. The role will also collaborate with other established divisions to leverage client relationships with the new service offering.

The successful candidate

You will have hands on experience leading strategic growth in the civil infrastructure and construction sectors, ideally managing sales teams (or looking to step up) within a large complex business, developing and monitoring budgets in a complex business, and actualizing strategic plans to operational implementation and output. You possess solid market development and analytical skills with a proven capacity to establish strategic directions and successful commercial action plans that achieve those directions. Furthermore, you have experience in managing and developing strategic customer relationships successfully with excellent influencing, negotiation and communication skills. You embrace and lead cultural change and work successfully in multi-disciplinary teams to drive revenue focused activities and set strong behavioural examples around safety & OHS.
