Join a world class food manufacturing organisation and help them continue their evolution. This role is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end Manufacturing and Operations activities within the Plant, providing leadership and direction to the operations and maintenance teams to ensure the attainment of the key operational goals of Safety, Quality, Service and Cost. The role will support setting the future culture on the site with a strong focus on impacting the businesses safety and food safety culture.
The Site Operations Manage is responsible for Production and Warehouse operating costs, including direct and indirect labor, materials, manufacturing overheads, repairs and maintenance, approved capital spend. This role will also ensure that the operation teams adhere to all site policies and procedures and continue to build upon the continuous improvement activities across the site.

You will be responsible for: 
  • Serves as a member of the Supply Chain Leadership team to drive, influence and support the plant strategic plans and initiatives to set the Plant up for the future.
  • Provide the leadership, structure, resources to improve the culture across the site focusing on safety, food safety, quality, and engagement.
  • Lead team to comply with all Company and Legislative health and safety policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the delivery of the Plant key performance measures and service standards. OEE, Waste, R&M, Value Innovation.
  • Ensure that any innovations/new product introductions at the plant are managed within network/quality standards
  • Manage the employer relations strategy and the plant and drive initiatives & actions to ensure a positive ER within the plant.
  • Responsible for site-based warehousing activities across the site
  • Develops and implements strategies and plans to build capability across the team
  • Ensure food safety, legality and quality requirements are adhered to within their scope of responsibility, including the reporting of food safety incidents and adherence to requirements to ensure the integrity of the product is maintained.
  • Lead the integrated maintenance function to enhance the overall reliability of the Plant
  • Accountable for the operations teams compliance, participation and development of working systems
  • Responsibility for total manufacturing, Engineering and warehouse operating budgets (Labour hours, costs). Responsible for developing both short term and long-term productivity cost savings plans
