About the role
Reporting to the Sales Director, this commercial category role will be responsible for the development and execution of best practice category strategies, activation and insights based projects, working across the total portfolio for Coles and Woolworths. Being the conduit between the sales & marketing teams, you will be the voice of the customer & category where you will be tasked with managing NPD launches, owning the range review process by delivering robust and bullet proof recommendations whilst also collaborating with senior leaders on the development of JBP’s across grocery customers. This role will also have a strong financial element, accompanied with a project management component which will see you actively involved the business planning process, both short & long term.
Skills & experience
Success in this role will come from demonstrated Category Management or National Account Management experience (specifically in grocery) from within the FMCG industry. Ideally degree qualified, you will have proven success in delivering best practice category principles and drivers, show you can lead and take others on a journey, and importantly showcase your strong commercial & financial acumen which will be evident in key projects you have specifically lead. An ability to work in a fast paced environment will see you thrive in this role, accompanied with a love for working in a close knit team!
